CYBER THUNDER Rolling Thunder RULES

1.   INTRODUCTION:

All rules governed by the iRacing simulation will be followed. Rolling Thunder will rely on league members to help "police" each other. If you see someone breaking a league rule, please save the replay and forward the clip to the league admins with a brief explanation of which rule was violated. No rule violations will be discussed during the race! Wait until the race is over and send the admins an email or post a message in our Forum. The Forum is our primary mechanism for any discussions about the league. Very little email is ever sent.

2.   SERVER DONATIONS:

Hosting Races on the iRacing servers costs $3 per race. Currently Rolling Thunder has one individual who covers the server rental for each race. Rolling Thunder would APPRECIATE any donations drivers could provide to help cover server rental costs. We're not asking for any specific amounts in our first season, but a small contribution would help. If you are interested in making a contribution, email VinnyC6@sbcglobal.net and he will give you the necessary information.

3.   LEAGUE SIGNUPS:

ALL drivers must read and understand the rules on this page. A maximum of 30 drivers will be allowed to signup. All drivers with a moderate skill level are allowed to sign up.

2. If a driver loses connection during the race they may reconnect and continue to race. There is no further penalty other than laps lost if you re-connect.

6.   YELLOW FLAGS:

1. Any driver who self spins 3 times will be required to park for the duration of the race. A self spin is defined as losing control of the car and spinning on/off the track. A car that starts to spin but is saved and continues on is not considered to have spun. A spin does not have to bring out a caution to be counted.

7.   PACE LAPS/RESTARTS:

All drivers must maintain no more than a .5 second gap between cars during the one to go lap under yellow flags. Brake checks and jumping of the restarts will not be tolerated and will result in administrative action. However jumping the restart does not include hitting the gas a split second before the green. This is just anticipating the green and protecting your lead and is allowed.

8.    CHATTING:

Chatting while the Green Flag is out is to be kept to a minimum. The only chat allowed during the green flag is Driver info chat, such as "Pitting this Lap", "Pass High", Pass Low", etc. Drivers may chat after they have taken the yellow flag and settled into position. Most discussions should take place after the race via iRacing voice chat or in the Rolling Thunder section of the Forum. This rule is meant as a guideline but serious violation may result in a 5 point deduction.

9.    QUALIFYING:

A) Once the qualifying session begins, there is to be no chatting at all.

10.   FLAMING:

NO FLAMING AT ALL! Flaming will not be tolerated and will result in a 50 point deduction at the discretion of the admin. A 2nd violation will result in a one race suspension. A 3rd violation will result in ejection from the league.

11.   LAPPERS:

Drivers should at all times have the F3 Display on their screen to see when faster cars are approaching from behind. Lapped cars not in the lead draft but trying to stay on the lead lap do not have to let the lead pack by. However courtesy dictates you should at least hold your line, giving the leader a chance to smoothly navigate around.

12.   AGGRESSIVE DRIVING/BLOCKING:

1. If you feel someone if being far too aggressive, please send a replay of the event(s) in question. If a driver is found by the admin to be "too aggressive for the situation", - points/action will be taken on a case by case basis.

2. Blocking is defined as erratic or sudden moves to keep a faster car from passing. Blocking with more than 5 laps to go will not be permitted and may result in a 10 point deduction. Blocking to protect your position with less than 5 laps is permitted.

13.   REVIEW COMMITTEE:

To Be Determined.

14.   TRACK RULES:

1. Driving Below Yellow/White Line: Drivers will not be allowed to place a complete tire under the yellow/white line in an effort to gain positions on any track.

2. Low Line Driving (also referred to a Low Lining): Low Line Driving is defined as completing 1 or more full laps on the bottom of the track to avoid being passed during single file racing. This type driving is most prevalent at Daytona and Talladega, but the rule applies to all tracks. When in single file formation, drivers must run at least one lane off the bottom on straights unless passing. This rule does not apply for 2 wide or more racing. Low Line Driving with 5 laps to go or less is permitted. Violations will result in a 25 point deduction.

15.   CAR FILES

Drivers will need to register and upload their tga files to www.TradingPaints.com
