| 3. First WARNING: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Your application/acceptance to Thunder TruXXX acknowledges that you have read the below RULES and are fully aware of ALL Rules of the Thunder Truxxx Division. An official warning will NOT be required for rule infractions and first offenses may be penalized. |
| 4. Rules Enforcement: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
TruXXX relies upon our fellow drivers to help police the division. If you see someone breaking a division rule, please save the replay and forward the clip to ADMIN with a brief explanation of which rule was violated. No rule violations will be discussed during the race! Wait until the race is over and send the administrator an email or post a message in our Forum. It is also your responsibilty to know these rules. If you are given false advice by someone it is still your responsibility to follow the proper rules. |
| 5. RACE SETTINGS | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The TRUXXX Division Schedule will be determined by the Admin and posted in statpak. The following Race settings will be used in TRUXXX.
| 6. Yellow Flags: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Racing back to the line will NOT be allowed! After a yellow is thrown, all cars must MAINTAIN race speed as best they can and position back to the Start Finish Line (SFL)(except in avoiding of an incident you are approaching) and GRADUALLY SLOW after taking yellow at the SFL until you meet up with pace car on the back stretch. Drivers must attempt to get into pace lap position as quickly and safely as possible.Racing back to the line will only be allowed if there are 10 or fewer laps to go in the race. |
| 7. Incident (Caution Flag) Punishment: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
In hopes of reducing Cautions, you will be required to pit and get a End Of Longest Line pentality if at ANYTIME during the race you bring out a Caution Flag. This includes self spins, contact, NO contact, getting stuck on the wall. After the incident settles down, the person who is at fault must type FAULT on the chat board. You may need to have a breif discussion over ventrillo to try to clarify who is more at fault. If in doubt , play it safe and get the EOLL. You may end up penalized after the race is reviewed for not getting it. Only WARP incidents that bring out caution are excluded.But if you are in doubt about the warp, you need to get EOLL to avoid being pentalized in the Race Review.
EOLL is End of Longest Line, NOT just going down pit road. You must either speed going on to pit road, OR speed coming off pit road OR PREFERRABLY re-enter the track immediately exiting pit road. But you MUST accomplish at least one and get the BF (Black Flag) ordering you to the End of the Longest Line.
Failure to do the above will result in a 10 point deduction after race results are posted. After your 2nd Penalty for not taking EOLL your next penalty will be minus 20 points, the next occasion will be a 1 race suspension. Additional points may be taken if the failure to obtain EOLL effects the finishing order of the race. Points will be equal to the number of positions effected to include removal of finishing in first place.
To define further: If a caution flag comes out other than if an Admin throws the flag or for debris, then SOMEONE needs to be getting an EOLL for bring out the caution. If the incident is caused by warp, the person(s) warping are responsible to IDENTIFY the incident was due to warp an annouce on Ventrillo and or typing in autochat. Drivers behind the warp incident can help here also. In the race review it will be checked to insure that warp was the cause and not just a driver saying warp to avoid the EOLL. If a driver uses warp to avoid and EOLL, they will be deducted 25 points. To protect yourself, save the replay. You may need it. If two drivers merge into each other, you both are responsible and both should get EOLL. If a driver cuts someone off ( drastic move ) and the driver cut off spins or wrecks that brings out caution, the driver that did the cutting off is the cause of the incident is responsible to get EOLL. Hopefully this will clear up some recent questions. |

| 8. Incidents Caused ( after) Caution | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Any incident that occurs after the yellow comes out has the potential for a 10 point penalty . Such incidents are to be determined by admin after a clip of the incident has been submitted by affected driver/s. an example would be if a yellow comes out and the field checks up or slows to proceed with caution , a driver then comes from behind and recklessly hits a truck that is trying to avoid the incident. ( key word recklessly). Or if a driver spins , or is spun , then does not wait for oncoming trucks to pass before trying to turn around on the track and causes another wreck . You must wait for oncoming trucks to clear before you turn around. These are just examples and are to be interpreted by the admin to determine if it deems penalization . It is strongly suggested that you utilize your F2 key at all times to see where other trucks are on the track. |
| 9. Self Spins: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
If you self spin type the following after settling into pace lap position -----ss car# ------- (example on screen chat..... ss 22). All drivers are allowed 1 self spin per race. On the 2nd self spin, the driver will park their ride for the remainder of the event. So, please be prepared with a stable setup. If you FAIL TO PARK after 2 self spins, you will be charged half the points you earned in the race based on your finish. |
| 10. Pace Laps/Restarts: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Passing will be allowed on restarts . All drivers must maintain a .1 - .3 second gap between trucks during yellow flags and restarts. Any jumping of the restarts will not be tolerated and will result in administrative action. Passing before the backstretch may allowed on start/restarts, IF Race Admin changes this and annouces during Happy Hour. The Admin will determine this during the practice session prior to race time, previous track records and announce during Happy Hour in CAP letters. PASSING BEFORE BACKSTRETCH IS PERMITTED. |
| 11. Lappers: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Leaders are responsible for safely lapping traffic. If the leader comes up to pass you, you must choose a line and stay there. If possible, let the leaders know where to pass with auto chat. Trucks on the verge of going a lap down can race the leader if they are just as fast as the leader. IF IT IS CLEAR the approaching trux are faster, YOU MUST give way. DO NOT HOLD YOUR LINE, if your line is the Preferred Racing line/groove. Move up out of the preferred racing line in advance of their approach and stay there until the faster trux(s) have cleared you. You may then move back to the preferred racing line. |
| 12. 10 Laps To Go: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
If the race is going to take the green flag with 10 or less laps to go, all lapped drivers must pit (don't have to fix/change anything). This is done to get lapped/damaged trucks toward the end of the pack to avoid causing problems with the leaders. Fail to pit will result in a 5 point penalty. The Lucky Dog is not in effect with less than 10 to go. |
| 13. Review Committee: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Review Committee (RC) is group of drivers within the CTR League. The primary purpose of the RC is to make racing within the divisions of the CTR League fair, equal and fun for one and all. YOU MUST submit a replay and your complaint to the Review Committee within 48 hours of the conclusion of the race. Complaints will be reviewed by the RC and all parties will be notified with the findings. |
| 14. Daytona/Talladega Track Specific: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
At Talladega and Daytona, drivers will not be allowed to place a complete tire under the yellow line in an effort to gain positions. This also applies to other Superspeedway tracks. |
| 15. Race Restarts/Black Flags: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This is SIM racing and not real by any means. It is my wish that the entire field that joins the race at the start have a chance to race the entire race within their abilities and infractions that may take place during the normal operation of a race regardless of laps. There for, there will be only ONE Restart IF REQUIRED. This restart is if there is an incident within the first 3 laps and damages 10% of the field or more. If you are damaged as result of a wreck or caution, it is your responsibilty to type DAMAGED to request the restart. The ADMIN will then be able to judge the amount of drivers effected and make the determiniation if a restart is needed. ( a 1 car wreck does not require an automatic restart ).
Black Flags are earned by drivers failure to abide by the rules of the track and those imposed by NASCAR within the simulation. A driver earning a BF may only request the Admin to clear it if he/she is 100% sure the BF is in total error. If requested, the Admin will clear the BF, annotate the driver number and lap and review upon conclusion of the race. Drivers that received the clearing of a BF and if was out of driver error, will be charged a 5 point deduction. If the Admin determines that the cleared BF was truly issued in error, no points will be deducted. |
| 16. Warping: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Each driver is responsible for their own connection to the race server. Drivers that WARP OUT (loose their connection completely) during a race, upon return to the race server, the Race Admin will ATTEMPT to give back all laps but ONE. This is dependant on the track being raced and laps can only be given back during green flag racing. The last lap you must earn back by either racing or being awarded the Lucky Dawg (LD) during a caution. Exception to this rule is if there are drivers that are already down on laps. In this event, you will be returned your laps minus one short of the lowest driver that is laps down. Example is that if there are 3 drivers one lap down from racing, when you return you will be given all your laps except 2. This will make you 4th in the laps down order, first one that is -2.
Regardless of tracks, the disconnected driver will receive laps back. If you loose your connection a SECOND or even more times, these laps WILL NOT be returned to you. Laps are only returned once and it is after the first time loosing COM.
Drivers that Line Warp (warp out on the track and reappear) cross the Start Finish line and go down a lap, may receive the lap back BUT only if the Line Warp is brought to the immediate attention of the race Admin and you have not been passed by any other drivers on the track. Other drivers may assist in determining line warp if they observe it when it happens and notifying the race Admin either on Ventrilo or by in-game chat. If you Line Warp, and you or everyone else fails to bring it to the attention of the race Admin and it is not noticed till the end of the race, you will be forced to accept the race as it ended and was scored. |
| 17. Flaming: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
ABSOLUTELY NO FLAMING! This is just a game and people do make mistakes. If you feel it was on purpose, take it up with the race director in private. Use of profanity, in any form, towards another driver will be considered flaming. Even if it is question directed to another driver (i.e. Why did you ram me in the ___? Abbreviated forms of profanity will also not be tolerated. (i.e. wtf, wth, bs, fu). The following are the penalties to be issued for violating the CTR flaming policy. **** Penalties apply to the TruXXX Division ONLY****
1st Offense Reading the TruXXX Rules is your Warning 2nd Offense 50 point deduction/probation 3rd Offense Race Ejection/Race Suspension 4th Offense Removal from CTR TruXXX Series. (You may also be subject to other corrective actions by CTR League not to exclude ejection from the League as a whole.) |
| 18. POINT SYSTEM | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
All new drivers, after completion of their first race you will be entered into the scoring. Your place in the standings will be entered automatically according to current standings. Provisional's will be unlimited. Provisional's must be requested in the Forum before the scheduled event. I may make an exception and allow Provisional requests to be submitted a few days after the race in case of sudden schedule problems such as Emergencies or Work.
Provisional's, when awarded, will be -10 points behind the last place car in the race.
Anyone joining during the season prior to the start of the CHASE will be awarded back provisional points.
| 19. Lucky Dawg: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
After taking the yellow flag, the lapped car which is highest in the current race standings will be given one lap back.(unless the race is under 10 to go. ) The Lucky DAWG Award driver will be required to do the following:
A complete pit stop their time by Re-enter the track early and pick up an End of Longest Line Penalty (EOLL) If EOLL penalty is not given, drop to rear of field after restarting After taking green, lap will be given back by admin. |
| 20. Blocking/Unacceptable Driving Tactics: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Blocking in CTR TruXXX is ALLOWED during the race, BUT AT YOUR OWN RISK. If you are blocking, holding your line, what ever you want to call it and you refuse to give up the preferred racing line to faster drivers, You MAY NOT throw any form of Drastic block, regardless of the lap or number of laps left. Any Drastic block that results in another driver spinning out and especially if it generates a caution flag the driver will not loose his finishing position but WILL BE charged 20 racing points for each occurrance. |
| 21. Aggressive Driving | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
As a driver it is up to you to drive within your limits or your abilities, your setup and the conditions of the track. Driving aggressively is permitted but not if it results in contact. If the Admin during race review can not explain your contact with another driver other than you drove so aggressively to fail to avoid contact, you will be charged 5 points after the conclusion of the race. |
